Book Review: Love Is Our Magic By Manny Morales
Hi Girlies!
This is my first book review, and I am excited. Before I get to the review, I want to give a backstory on what made me read this book.
I got this book as a wedding gift from my husband a few days before we got married. I also got a single red rose and a candle that goes along with the book. The best part is that Manny himself signed the inside cover of the book for me.
It took me about a month to read this book and yes, I lit the candle when I read it. It made the book come to life just a little more.
The Review
What I liked about the book.
I like that this book can fall into a few genres, which are, crime drama, urban fiction, romance, and suspense. To me, I believe that it is more of a romance book than anything. The other thing I like about this book is that it has Spanish mixed in with English. This made the book more fun to read.
What I didn’t like about the book.
There is only one thing I can say that I didn’t like about the book and that is how quickly I read it. I know that may seem silly, but I truly liked this book from start to finish.

I am not a fan of spoiling books, so I will make sure not to add any details that will give the whole book away.
The main character is a guy named Mauricio who used to live a life of killing. He left that life to become a better person. Well, that doesn’t sit right with another male character. During this time, Mauricio meets a lady and falls in love. While Mauricio is falling in love, his past comes looking for him. In order for Mauricio to protect the life he currently has and his new love, he must go back to his old life one last time.
About The Author
This book came out in 2023 and in 2025 Manny Morales passed away. This is the only book he has written. Now there is a Spanish version of this book. Both books can be found on Amazon.
